Obtaining Credentials
We believe the Bible teaches every believer is called to serve God with some type of ministry. That ministry may be in the church, schools, neighborhood or the marketplace. We also believe the Bible teaches God places a special call upon some individuals for vocational ministry. The ministerial credentials granted by the Assemblies of God is man's response in honoring and validating that call to vocational ministry.
If you are new to the credential process, download the Credential Brochure to help you understand the process involved in receiving a credential with the Assemblies of God and more particularly with the Arkansas District.
If you feel you are ready to pursue credentials, then complete the Credential Preliminary Application and submit it. If you have questions, email: credentials@araog.org or feel free to call 501-455-5444.
If you or your spouse have a former spouse that is living, you will need to complete the Divorce Preliminary Application and submit it. If you have questions, email: credentials@araog.org or feel free to call 501-455-5444.
The Arkansas credential team members will work with you through the process of getting credentials.

The highest level of credentials offered by the Assemblies of God is ordination. You are encouraged to pursue ordination. Ordination interviews are only held once a year. You must have been licensed at least two years and be currently active in ministry to qualify for ordination.
Send an email to: credentials@araog.org for more information and to request an ordination packet. There are no additional tests to take for ordination.
