A set of strange Scriptures.
"So what do we do? Keep on sinning so God can keep on forgiving? I should hope not! If we've left the country where sin is sovereign, how can we still live in our old house there? Or didn't you realize we'd packed up and left there for good?... Could it be any clearer? Our old way of life was nailed to the cross with Christ, a decisive end to that sin-miserable life -no longer at sin's every beck and call. When Jesus died He took sin down with Him, but alive He brings God down to us. From now on, think of it this way; Sin speaks a dead language that means nothing to you; God speaks your mother tongue, and you hang on every word. You are dead to sin and alive to God." Romans 6: 1-14 (The Message)
1. If my old man is truly dead, then when Satan brings his accusation of my past sins against me I can simply say, "Not my problem, that guy died".
2. If my old man is truly dead then he cannot control me, so when Satan tries to bring up those old desires, addictions, thought and behavior patterns I can say, "Not my problem, that guy died".
3. If my old man is truly dead then there can be no struggle with my old man. He died and dead men don't struggle or speak. So when Satan impersonates my old man and tries to make me think it is the old me speaking and suggesting, I can recognize Satan for who he is and say, "Not my problem, that guy died".
Please, please, please just say to Satan, "I AM ALIVE UNTO GOD through Jesus Christ our Lord!"
